One plumber in Springfield, Massachusetts is offering plumbers a $3,000 sign-on bonus. The plumber is also willing to train plumbers who already have experience.

Another plumber working in the Dallas area is hiring plumbers with a salary of at least $100,000 a year and will offer up to six weeks of paid parental leave.  The question many people are beginning to wonder: Are plumbers going to be one of the better employment opportunities for skilled trade professionals?

Powerhouse Plumbers is offering to sign-up bonus, plus three weeks of paid vacation for all new employees. The race to find quality master plumbers and have them join their team has been fueled by a labor shortage and a huge spike in housing demand.

The current hourly wage for plumbers is now around $26 an hour with signing bonuses up to $13,000 being offered by some plumbing companies.
